The Couch to Rule them ALL!!!

Have you ever heard the song, "Grandma's Feather Bed" by Johnny Denver?  (you should check out the link, John Denver is singing with the Muppets :) )  Well, I grew up singing that song, and always wishing that my grandma had a feather bed that was huge and could fit 8 kids and dogs and pigs...but alas my dream never came true...but then, reality became better than the dream!

This is my Grandma Christensen's new couch in her basement.  16 people and still room for more!  We've been hearing about this couch that was coming for months now.  Grandma got a giant 60-something-inch television in her downstairs family room a while ago and we were told that there was a couch coming to match the TV.  Who knew that Grandma was getting the

Well!  Just because this is my blog and I am up way too late and having way too much fun, I wrote a song for the Couch to Rule Them ALL!  ((to the tune of Grandma's Feather Bed)

When I was a twenty-nine year-old just ‘bout 5 foot 4

We used to go down to grandma's house every week or so

We'd have freezer bread, lasagna

Homemade spice cake and more

But the best darn thing 'bout grandma's house

Was the couch to rule them all

It was ninety feet long and had two beds

And soft as a downy chick

It was imagined up by grandma herself

each black section was handpicked 

It could hold twenty kids, a giant stuffed dog

and an uncle nigh 7 feet tall

We didn’t watch much TV, but we had a lot of fun

on the couch to rule them all!

Well, I love my ma, I love my pa, I love granny and grandpa too

I've been fishin' with my uncle, wrestlin' with my cousin

Even kissed Aunt Jo, oh!

But if I ever had to make a choice I guess it oughta be said
