Welcome to my blog...Post #1

If you look at my page, "Why I Blog,"  It will tell you about why I finally decided to start a blog.  I want to show the blessings that the Lord has given my little family in our everyday lives.  We aren't anybody famous or rich or doing anything that would change the entire world, but we are a small family in Sandy, Utah that is just trying to live a good life.  I want to show you that God cares about us "nobodies" and if he cares about us, he cares about you.
My husband is currently in Nursing school and working full time.  Poor man, he doesn't get much sleep at night, but he is our Hero! and a blessing to our family.  He is working himself to the bone to make a better life for his little pixies.  Thanks honey!
I am a Stay-at-home Mother and very grateful for it.  I consider this to be one of the biggest blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon us.  I know other people would like to stay home with their children and can't, but the Lord has blessed me that I can.  We currently live in our basement with a make-shift kitchen and two bedrooms, each with their own space heater to help us stay warm.  Yes, we even run the space heaters in the summer because the renters turn on the A/C and freezes us out down here.  We rent our upstairs to help pay the mortgage.  We've been blessed with great renters for the past 3 years and are currently renting to some of our best friends.
My two little pixies are the best blessing of all!  They just light up my life with their sweet spirits.  I love watching their eyes light up when they have learned something new.  Kately is my little talker.  I swear she went from say just a few words to exploding in sentences overnight.  My dad was commenting the other day that he didn't think my 2 year-old knew how to walk.  "She runs everywhere she goes!"  That is very true, especially at my parents' home that is nice and big and has many hallways to run up and down.  Emberly is my little joy.  She is so close to crawling, but hasn't done it yet.  But, after having to move out of our home for 2 months and back into it, she has finally resumed sleeping 8-9 hours without waking up!  Wahoo!  What a blessing!
Well, that kind of sums us up.  Chris² and the pixies
We are all truly blessed!
(I've included a video of my "flying" pixies, listen for Kately's laugh, it's priceless.)
